Key Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Certification or credentials in Special Education
- Teaching experience or certification in English (Grades 7-12 or 9-12) combined with Special Education
- Biology teaching experience or certification paired with Special Education is highly valued
- Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet varying academic and behavioral needs of students with disabilities
- Create and implement individualized education plans in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families, and administrators to support student success
- Maintain detailed records and documentation related to student progress and compliance
